Last week I needed a wild art feature for the paper. I never have any idea what I’m going to shoot so I usually just drive around. Today was no different. After an hour of driving around town I still had nothing. So I decided to fall back on an old photographer’s standby: Kids playing at the park. I was on the south end of Ottawa so I pulled into Kanza Park. I got out of my car and started walking. I didn’t see anyone at first. I was about to get back into my car when I had an idea. I heard the wind blowing through the leaves and a light bulb went off over my head. I finally had a plan. I wanted to capture the changing leaves without just shooting a picture of a tree. So I camped out under a low hanging branch and waited for someone to walk past. I felt a little like a hunter stalking his prey. When someone finally walked through my field of vision I framed them in the leaves and snapped away. Here are the results.
