A strong positive mental attitude will create more miracles than any wonder drug.

I have another one of those “stupid” questions that makes people roll their eyes when I ask. I have found that children are more likely to talk about my questions than adults.
Is health the same thing as wellness? Is health another word for sickness or disease?
I had an “alternative” health practitioner tell me that I was very healthy last week. This was after I completed a two page questionnaire about symptoms that I did not have and refused to be exposed to the radiation of x-rays to see if I had hidden symptoms.
Honestly I haven’t thought about health in relationship to me or my body in a number of years. Wellness means that my body is doing exactly what it was created to do with every organ, tissue, hormone, and cell using its built-in real intelligence.
I am well which means that I feel good in my body and about my body. I love my body because I could not have life on Earth without it. I live in peace with my body therefore I do not try to control, improve or own it.
The well relationship that I have with my body now has not always been the case. For many years, I had a love-hate relationship going on…an addiction to controlling, improving and owning an outside appearance. I had a cultural bias against my concept of fat and ugly and my self worth was based on the appearance of my body.
How much of the money we spend chasing health is really about controlling, improving and owning an outside appearance? How many of the healthy life advertisements are about improving outward appearance…gyms, diets, weight loss, surgeries, anti-aging medications and products?
Are we killing ourselves getting healthy? Does our liver or kidneys know the difference between the legal drugs and chemicals that we put into it to be healthy and those illegal ones that will destroy it?
Does our body naturally have deficiencies in statin drugs which control cholesterol or antidepressants to keep us happy or drugs to keep our hearts from attacking? Do we believe what the Health advertisements are telling us constantly?
Is health simply a “buss word” that has the power to make people spend money?
Go to a regular grocery store and put every item that uses a form of the word “health” on their label in your shopping cart and cart and cart. It would take a truck to carry the products away if you could afford to pay for them.
What does the report card for healthcare institutions look like? Has the physical wellness of the population improved in direct relationship to the amount of money spent on healthcare?
Are we paying an army of health care practitioners to be body terrorists attacking illness, combating disease, killing infectious agents and declaring war on cancer or any other disease?
We have painkilling drugs which generate their own tolerance and addiction. Antibiotics kill the bad germs but also destroy the good bacteria in the gut which is necessary for digesting and assimilating food. Chemotherapeutic drugs poison and ravage the natural immune system.
How much money has been spent by our government in the last year on the healthcare debate? Where did this money come from?
Not from the profits of the big drug companies. In the year 2002 those profits (not total revenue) exceeded 79 billion dollars.
Are Health and The Economy allies? Maybe it is time we made peace and stopped financing this health war. Are the deaths and side effects from friendly fire worth the cost of financing the health army?
Do health and medical practitioners live longer or have better functioning physical bodies than the general population? Do we idealize this profession by watching Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice and other shows with actors rather than real people?
Actually the wellness of most of those beautiful people portraying doctors is more real than the majority of actual people in the health profession. While living in California, I became aware of the number of celebrities who live naturally with real food, air and water.
When I made peace with my body and started appreciating it as the awesome creation that it is; real wellness came naturally. The nature of my body is real and it requires real natural nutrition…vitamins, minerals, fiber, water, oxygen, sunlight…in order to digest, assimilate, circulate, recreate, and eliminate.
It has been many years since I have taken an artificial “medication” either prescription or over the counter. I have not been “sick” or “caught” an illness since I gave up the faith in that belief system.
The only time that I experience symptoms such as coughs, congestion or headaches is when I am in a physical environment that my body finds toxic. My body now uses the symptoms as a natural warning system to remove me from the environment.
Is health real or is it an artificial monster that has been created as a diversion to keep us from thinking about wellness?
If all the money that the government has spent on the healthcare monster had been invested in producing clean organic food in this country so that every gets the 9 servings of fruits and vegetables required each day…how many jobs would have been created?
If half of the profits paid to the drug companies went into educating children in productive occupations like organic farming, producing non-toxic clothing, beauty products, cleaning products and essentials that benefit the world…how many jobs would be created?
What if nutrition was a required part of the curriculum in elementary school through medical school?
The majority of health practitioners get their nutritional knowledge from the same source as the general public…the media. They read the same magazines and see the same advertisements that we do except that they have the title of experts behind their names.
With over 70% of the artificial chemical laden substances which we consume as food being produced out of this country have you ever questioned what crops our government is subsidizing? Have you eaten a food lately with high fructose corn syrup as the main ingredient?
Is health like a slot machine or lottery…if we put enough money into it…it may pay off big? Have we put our faith into an artificial intelligence to fix and save us…just fed it with enough money and eventually it will save us?
Final question…how will history look back at this technology era? Will history record us as a barbaric era where millions of lives were sacrificed and the Earth was ravished in an artificial intelligence technology experiment?
Please give your feedback and open up a discussion about Wellness in your community.
Love, Light & Lots of Laugter…Joa
